Bergamot opens bright and citrus-sharp, but this sea was never going to stay clean. Cucumber and galbanum bring a cold, green snap, sage cuts in bitter, and seaweed drags it all back to the water: salt, brine, something alive. Amber and sandalwood keep it close to warm skin.

Top notes: Calabrian Bergamot, Galbanum, Cucumber

Middle Notes: Sage, Rose

Base Notes: Seaweed, Amber, Sandalwood

WHY WE MADE IT?

There's a belief that aquatic scents have to smell clean. Fresh laundry, blue water, a soap-bright breeze. But who decided the sea smells clean? Stand on a pier at night and the air that hits your face is something else: seaweed, salt, brine, the wet edge of something living. That is the sea we bottled. Manche is briny, green and a little raw, the way the water actually smells when you're close enough to taste it. Some will want their ocean scrubbed and pretty. This one isn't.
